SERIAN: Three local men have been arrested for allegedly committing arson that caused RM5,000 in damages at a heavy machinery spare parts shop here last week.

Acting on information received, the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) arrested the suspects — aged between 24 and 26 — and seized case-related items.
“Background checks revealed that two of the suspects have prior criminal and drug-related records.
“All three suspects will be remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 436 of the Penal Code for mischief by fire, which carries a jail term of up to 20 years and a fine, upon conviction,” he said.
Freddy stated that they are also tracking down another suspect who remains at large.
