KUCHING: A woman and a teenage boy sustained minor facial injuries following a three-vehicle crash along Jalan Batu Kitang here yesterday evening (May 11).
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the incident involved two Perodua Myvi cars and a Naza Citra.
A distress call was received at 7.02 pm and 10 firefighters from the Kota Sentosa fire station arrived at the scene two minutes later.
“Upon arrival, rescuers found two individuals, a woman in her 50s and a 13-year-old boy inside the Naza Citra.
“They were immediately extricated and later handed over to personnel from the Ministry of Health (MoH) for medical attention,” it said in statement yesterday (May 11).
Another male passenger of the Naza Citra, aged 64, escaped unhurt, while the drivers of both Myvi vehicles, aged 19 and 31 escaped injuries.
Fire personnel carried out cleaning works to clear the crash site, and the operation was reported under control by 7.20 pm before concluding at 8.21pm.
Other agencies present to assist at the scene included the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP), the Civil Defence Force (APM), and MoH.
