KUCHING: Sarawakians have been urged to continue giving their unwavering support to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s leadership to ensure the state attains even greater success in the future.

In making this call, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said the state and its people have experienced numerous achievements under his leadership throughout the eight years he has held office.

“I would like to express my gratitude for having a leader like Abang Johari, who is so committed and visionary in governing and managing the state of Sarawak.

“We have witnessed many achievements, particularly his dedication to increasing Sarawak’s state revenue. If we look at the budget presented each year, it shows an increase,” he said after closing the Singgah Lok Karnival Sahabat Usahawan Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) Kuching at Eco Mall Samariang here on Sunday.

Fadillah also said the increase in revenue reflects Abang Johari’s creativity in finding sources of revenue for Sarawak.

“By focusing on the state’s new economy, whether in the form of digital technology, renewable energy, or the new green economy, it demonstrates his commitment as a leader with a far-sighted vision.

“He is creative and unafraid to venture into new fields, gaining recognition not only internationally but also nationally.

“The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, often commends our Premier as a visionary leader whose governance has propelled Sarawak into a progressive and forward-moving state,” he said.
