SIBU: Concerned about the plight of the people in need, the service team of Pelawan assemblyman, Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee, has come forward to help a man suffering from a chronic foot disease.

The man, known only as Wong, is now unable to work and had previously relied entirely on the kindness of the community to continue his life following his deteriorating health.

After learning of Wong’s situation, Tiang’s service team on Friday (Aug 8) immediately arranged a visit to Wong’s residence to assess his actual needs and provide immediate assistance, including financial support and daily necessities.

“We cannot marginalise individuals facing health challenges and economic constraints.

“They also deserve the attention and assistance they deserve,” stressed Tiang, who is also Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Goverrnment, when commenting on his team’s actions.

He also assured that his service team would continue to monitor Wong’s condition regularly in addition to helping connect him with various forms of welfare support and necessary medical treatment.

The proactive step reflects his party’s continued commitment to ensuring that no vulnerable group is marginalised from the attention of the government and society.
