KUCHING: Sarawak-based waste management company, Timuran Kembangan Sdn Bhd, has etched its name in history by being honoured with the SME100 Award 2024.

The award ceremony, held at a local hotel, saw the presence of the company’s chairman Datuk Rahman Lariwoo, and director Johnny Ting Su King.

“We are very excited to be selected as the recipient of this award (SME100 Award).

“One thing for sure, this award will serve as a catalyst to maintain excellence in our company’s services in the future,” Ting told Sarawak Tribune.

Additionally, Ting said the award received is proof of their commitment to driving positive changes for the environment, making it better and more dynamic.

“This achievement is very important as it indirectly contributes to a more sustainable development,” he said.

He also expressed his gratitude to all parties for their support in helping realise their efforts to develop a sustainable environment.

“We greatly appreciate your support, and we hope it will continue in the future,” said Ting.

Established in 2020, Timuran Kembangan Sdn Bhd is one of the pioneers in the industry, aligned with the Sarawak Government’s initiatives to maintain environmental sustainability.

Among the company’s vision is to become a leading waste management body in Sarawak, driving sustainable solutions for a cleaner and greener future.

The company has also set its mission to provide innovative and efficient management services, focusing on environmental sustainability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

In line with the call of Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, outlined in the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, which stresses on Environmental Sustainability.

With the technology used, it allows the services provided by Timuran Kembangan Sdn Bhd to be applied in the industry or by households for recycling purposes.
