MIRI: Eighty local community representatives and various representatives of government agencies attended the Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) Townhall session held here on Wednesday.
The Townhall session was held with the aim to enlighten the local community on Sarawak’s telecommunications infrastructure development.
Also present were Miri MP Chiew Choon Man, SMA general manager Datuk Dr Anderson Tiong Ing Heng, Miri Mayor Adam Yii and deputy Miri Resident Juan Ubit.
During the one-day session, representatives from Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB), Malaysian Nuclear Agency, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) also delivered their briefings on the state’s telecommunications development.
A similar Townhall session was held in Sibu on October 24.
