MIRI: The Wireless Walk Miri Traders Association has expressed full support for the development of Mitsubishi’s hydrogen plant in Lutong, as well as the AirBorneo initiative,
Association chairman Mohamad Abdullah Jamin said with both projects spearheaded by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, the project is expected to bring significant benefits to the local business community and society as a whole.
Mohamad Abdullah, who also serves as Kedayan Association Miri chairman and Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Chamber of Sarawak (Miri branch) vice chairman, made these remarks during a food aid distribution programme for single mothers here yesterday (Mar 15).
Mohamad Abdullah said these projects will greatly benefit Sarawak.
“The development of the hydrogen plant and AirBorneo is expected to stimulate local economic growth by creating new business and job opportunities, particularly in the service, logistics, and hospitality sectors,” he said.
“The Wireless Walk Miri Business Association remains optimistic that these initiatives will bring long-term positive impacts to the local community and has called on all stakeholders to collaborate in realising this vision,” he added.
