SAMARAHAN: A temporary road diversion was implemented last night near the SM03 Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) station construction site to facilitate seven hours of concreting works.

Sarawak Metro said the diversion affected a stretch of road near Wisma SALCRA from 9 pm on March 30 until 4 am on March 31, and was carried out in two phases from 9 pm to midnight and midnight to 4 am.

Vehicles travelling from Kota Samarahan towards Kuching were directed through a temporary contra flow along the affected stretch.

Meanwhile, traffic heading towards Kota Samarahan was diverted to Jalan Dato Mohd Musa to ease congestion and maintain traffic flow.

Sarawak Metro advised motorists to remain cautious when passing through the area and to follow traffic management instructions, road signage and speed limits to ensure the safety of road users and construction personnel.

“Road users are advised to plan their journeys accordingly,” it said in a notice posted on its official Facebook page yesterday (March 30).
