LIMBANG: Knowledge is a powerful tool that can transform lives and lift families out of poverty, said Deputy Transport Minister, Datuk Hasbi Habibollah.

He emphasised that education, including religious teachings, plays a crucial role in shaping an individual’s future and strengthening their faith.

“In Islam, those who seek knowledge hold a high status in the eyes of Allah SWT.

“As parents and society, we must ensure that children receive proper education, especially in today’s challenging times,” he said.

Hasbi was speaking at the ‘Projek Kasih Ramadan’ event at Dewan Bunga Raya here today.

During the event, 118 underprivileged recipients, including asnaf, the poor and orphans, received essential food supplies, cash aid, and ‘Meal Ready to Eat’ (MRE) packs.

Hasbi also took the opportunity to introduced Sarawak Volunteers, an initiative aimed at supporting Sarawakian students in education and self-development.

“The goal is to provide guidance and opportunities for students to reach greater heights in their pursuit of knowledge,” he added.
