KUCHING: Tributes continue to pour in for the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, whose dedication to community welfare and unity left a lasting mark on Sarawak society.
Described as an inspiration and caring figure, the wife of the Sarawak Premier was remembered fondly by State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and his wife Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang, who extended their condolences to the Premier and family.
“On behalf of the Sarawak Civil Service, I extend my deepest condolences to the Sarawak Premier and his family on the passing of the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani.
“During her lifetime, she often reminded us of the importance of caring for our welfare and health, and of working together as one family.
“May her soul be blessed and placed among the righteous,” he said.
Baduyah also expressed her sorrow over the passing of the late Juma’ani, describing it as a great loss to MAKSAK Women.
She said that as advisor, the late Juma’ani was a source of inspiration for MAKSAK Women Sarawak and consistently supported all their activities.
“On behalf of MAKSAK Women, I extend our deepest condolences and pray that her soul be blessed and placed among the righteous,” Baduyah added.
On Tuesday (June 24), the couple, accompanied by Muslim heads of departments, visited the grave of the late Juma’ani and performed Yassin and Tahlil recitations.
The late Juma’ani breathed her last at Normah Medical Centre at 3.34am on Monday at the age of 76.
She was laid to rest at the Tanah Perkuburan Islam Semariang yesterday afternoon.
