SRI AMAN: Three individuals had the shock of their lives after finding a three-foot-long banded krait (Bungarus candidus) in the engine compartment of their car at Lachau town here yesterday.
They immediately contacted the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.
APM officer, Captain Siti Huzaimah Haji Ibrahim said they received a distress call at 12.26pm and dispatched four personnel from Sri Aman District APM to the scene.
“The banded krait was successfully removed from the engine compartment by the Civil Defence personnel using several special tools,” she said.
