BINTULU: A trailer truck laden with used tires caught fire at Mile 8, Jalan Bintulu-Miri in the wee hours of morning, yesterday.
According to the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre (PGO), a team of 12 firefighters of Bintulu fire station, led by PBK II Herman Main, rushed to the scene after receiving a call on the incident at 1.13am.
Both the truck driver and his co-driver managed to escape unharmed.
The fire was believed to have started from one of the truck’s rear tires.
The operation ended at 3.38am.
