ROBAN: Support and trust in the state government has been gathering momentum, proving it is fulfilling its promises.

In stating this Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri said all forms of assistance from the government also showed that no one is marginalised in mainstream development including the Chinese community.

“This is the concept of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) which always pays attention to all races through the provision of various aids and allocations in a fair and equitable manner,” he said after a parade in conjunction with the Sen Ong Kong’s deity birthday here on Tuesday (Mar 14).

Mohamad Duri was represented by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kalaka Branch secretary Gapor Ahmad.

He stressed the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has shown positive outcomes in terms of education, economy, politics and society.

He hoped the Chinese community would continue working alongside the government to maintain peace, stability and ensure all programmes planned for the public are carried out without interruption.

“I am happy to see the celebration of every race observed together in the spirit of unity.

“This actually makes an important foundation for Sarawak to become a developed state by 2030, where unity in diversity and harmony between the races in Bumi Kenyalang are always emphasised,” he said.

Meanwhile, a representative of the Roban Chinese community, stated that the Tian Yun Gong Roban Temple held the parade to mark the deity’s birthday, attended by 15 teams from Sarikei, Debak and Saratok.
