KUCHING: Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah graced the third anniversary celebration of the Juma’ani Pavilion, held here on Monday (Dec 8).
Tunku Azizah arrived at about 4pm, accompanied by her daughter, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah Athiyatullah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, as well as Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts II (Creative Industry and Performing Arts), Datuk Snowdan Lawan, and was received by CENTEXS staff.
Tunku Azizah and her daughter then proceeded to Level G where they viewed a showcase of the JUMA’ANI Collection by Seraya Era (Pink Jambu).
She also witnessed the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CENTEXS Commercial and the Tun Jugah Foundation (Olah Idup), aiming to strengthen collaborative efforts in fashion innovation, heritage textile development and community-based creative programmes involving inmates, cultural institutions and local designers.
In conjunction with the anniversary, Tunku Azizah also officiated the cake-cutting ceremony, featuring a tiramisu cake.
Her visit continued to Level 1, which included the Juma’ani Pavilion Production Centre, demonstrations of upholstery stitching and CENTEXS Fashion Technology, in addition to witnessing a songket weaving demonstration by trainees.
Earlier, Tunku Azizah delivered a keynote address at the Borneo International Textile Festival 2025 (BITF25) Seminar at Pullman Hotel Kuching, before proceeding to the Juma’ani Pavilion anniversary celebration.
For the record, on Dec 7, 2022, Tunku Azizah attended the official launch of the Juma’ani Pavilion.
