SHAH ALAM: TV Sarawak (TVS) has been confirmed as one of the official broadcast partners for the 22nd Malaysia Games (SUKMA) to be staged in Selangor next year.
The announcement was made at the launch of the 2026 SUKMA Selangor logo and mascot on Friday, signalling Selangor’s return as host after 28 years.
Representing TVS, head of creative content Jamal Abdullah received a mock cheque from Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, as a symbol of the partnership.
Several other broadcasters have also come on board, including SGTV, ARQIVA UK, Astro and Media Selangor, to provide comprehensive coverage of the country’s largest multi-sport event.
The collaboration is expected to broaden SUKMA’s reach, not only to audiences across Malaysia but also at the international level, strengthening the Games’ visibility.
Organisers described 2026 SUKMA as more than a stage for athletes, stressing its role in promoting the sports industry as an economic driver in line with the 13th Malaysia Plan.
For the record, Selangor last hosted SUKMA in 1998.
