KUCHING: TVS has launched a refreshed edition of its flagship news programme, UTAMA 740, promising renewed energy, confidence, and clarity in nightly news delivery.
The relaunch, carrying the tagline “Tepat, Sahih dan Dipercayai” (Accurate, Authentic and Trusted), underscores TVS’ commitment to verified information and engaging storytelling.
The programme aims to go beyond headlines by offering context and perspectives that resonate with viewers nationwide.
A dynamic team of 12 new anchors fronts the programme, each bringing a distinct voice and on-air personality to enhance authenticity and viewer connection.
TVS said the diverse lineup reflects the channel’s intent to blend authority with relatability, elevating how stories are told and understood.
The refreshed UTAMA 740 was officially launched on Oct 10 October, coinciding with TVS’ fifth anniversary — a milestone the station describes as symbolising growth, evolution, and a bold step into the future of broadcast news.
Airing nightly at 7.40 pm, UTAMA 740 serves as viewers’ evening compass, covering major national developments and stories closer to home with a focus on clarity and trust.
TVS emphasised that the programme’s renewed look and presenter roster are anchored by unchanged editorial principles: rigorous verification, fairness, and public-service journalism.
UTAMA 740 is available on TVS 122 via MYTV, unifi TV, and Astro, and can also be streamed at www.tvsarawak.my.
