KUCHING: In conjunction with Merdeka, TVS is rolling out three special programmes that celebrate Malaysia’s unity, pride and freedom.
Take Me to Sarawak: Special offers audiences a chance to experience the hidden gems of the state through a mix of POV storytelling and encounters with Sarawak’s talented locals.
From unforgettable cuisine to cultural wonders, the show highlights why Sarawak remains one of the world’s best-kept secrets.
Backed by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts through the Facilitation Fund for Heritage, Arts, and Culture, the programme positions Sarawak as a destination of discovery and identity.
Meanwhile, Hanya Dia: Satu-satunya Rahim Razali pays tribute to a towering figure in Malaysia’s arts and entertainment industry.
Chronicling Rahim Razali’s 42-year journey as a director, producer, writer and actor, the documentary captures his legacy, resilience and passion that have inspired generations.
Completing the line-up is 1957: Hati Malaya, which revisits the nation’s independence struggle through the eyes of five friends working on a picture book project.
Starring Rusdi Ramli, Maya Karin, Sharifah Amani, Adlin Aman Ramlie and Douglas Lim, the film blends themes of love, sacrifice and unity – reminding viewers of the unbreakable spirit that shaped Malaysia.
TVS said the specials are part of its broader effort to celebrate culture and heritage as the nation’s identity and pride.
“These stories entertain, enlighten and motivate, reflecting the resilience and brilliance of Malaysians,” it added.
