MUKAH: Police are seeking public assistance to locate two 14-year-old girls who were reported missing after they failed to return home and are believed to have left to avoid registering at their school hostel.

Mukah police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said the teenagers, both schoolmates, were last seen in town at around 1.30pm on Sunday (Jun 7) by their mothers before they went missing.

“The first missing girl has been identified as Easter Agnes David, 14, from Rumah Jali, Batu 15, Jalan Selangau-Mukah.

“She was last seen wearing an orange short-sleeved round-neck shirt, white long pants and black slippers. She is described as having a slim build, a round face, fair complexion, straight hair and is about 160cm tall.

“The second girl, Frocilea Rajok Jessica, 14, is from Rumah Nelson Chuat Begeri, KM59, Jalan Mukah-Selangau.

“She was last seen wearing a green-and-white short-sleeved round-neck shirt, black long pants and white slippers.

“She is described as having a slim build, an oval-shaped face, brown complexion, straight hair and is about 165cm tall,” he said.

Muhamad Rizal said both girls are believed to have left with other friends as they did not want to register at the hostel.

Search efforts have been conducted around Mukah town, but the girls have yet to be located. Attempts to contact them have also been unsuccessful as their mobile phones are unreachable.

Members of the public with information on the girls’ whereabouts, are urged to report to the investigating officer Insp Alexander Constontine at 013-5073256 or 084-871222, or the nearest police station.
