KUCHING: State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar on Thursday (Oct 21) distributed cheques worth RM200,000 to Sadong Jaya and Saribas constituencies.
“The contribution is for the provision of food baskets to the residents in each state constituency,” Asfia said during the handover ceremony at Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building today.
He hoped the people would continue to support the state government’s leadership for the welfare of Sarawakians.
The mock cheques and contribution slips were presented to Sadong Jaya assemblyman Aidel Lariwoo and Saribas assemblyman Mohamad Razi Sitam. Each received RM100,000 for their constituencies.
The assemblymen expressed their gratitude towards Asfia and the state government for their concerns for the welfare of the people in Sadong Jaya and Saribas state constituencies, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
