SIBU: The two-day MATTA Fair Sibu, Sarawak Travel Fair 2025, which will be held at Swan Square here starting on July 26, promises to be an exceptional event for travel enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.

He said MATTA (Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents) Sarawak Chapter trusts such collaboration and support from RHB Bank Bhd with members of the hospitality industry to be a strong crowd-puller to further boost and revive international and domestic tourism and contribute to the overall tourism growth.

“Travel is not merely about moving from place to place; it’s about discovering new horizons, embracing diverse cultures, and forging lasting memories. MATTA Fair is dedicated to making this experience accessible and unforgettable for all.

“Sibu’s MATTA fair offers a comprehensive showcase of destinations, travel packages, and experiences tailored to every kind of traveller.

“Whether you’re a solo adventurer, a family looking for relaxation, or a business traveller, MATTA Fair has curated offerings that cater to your needs.

In addition to fantastic travel deals, he stressed that the licensed tour operators will share insights into the future of travel, sustainability in tourism, and emerging trends shaping the exploration of the world.

Believing that knowledge empowers informed travel decisions, he asserted that MATTA is committed to providing the latest information to enhance travel experiences.

Moreover, he pointed out that MATTA fair is not just about accessibility; it’s about giving back to the communities that enrich travel destinations.

“We proudly support local communities and sustainable tourism initiatives, encouraging all travellers to be responsible and respectful guests wherever they go. By travelling mindfully, we ensure that future generations can also enjoy the wonders of our planet,” he said.

To further enhance visitors’ experiences during the fair, he announced that Scoot will be giving away exciting flight tickets from here to international destination for the Buyers’ Contest, such as one Scoot return ticket to Perth from Sibu and one Scoot return ticket to Singapore from Sibu.

Besides Scoot, Ling stated that other sponsors will be giving away vouchers, including from Damai Lagoon Resort (Kuching), Damai Beach Resort (Kuching), Hotel Grand Continental (Kuching), Kingwood Hotel (Sibu), Pullman (Kuching), RH Hotel (Sibu) and Sematan Palm Beach Resort.

Others are The Meritin Hotel (Kuching), The Waterfront Hotel (Kuching), Royal Carribbean International, Grand Margherita Hotel (Kuching) and Riverside Majestic Hotel Astana Wing (Kuching).

Admission is free to the fair, and it is open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm during the two-day fair.
