KUCHING: Sarawak’s Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government has officially announced the successful completion of two housing developments previously classified as sick projects within the Kuching and Betong divisions.
Both developments, namely Taman Fitriyyah and Botanic Garden 2, had endured delays exceeding two years beyond their respective stipulated completion dates.
The formal announcement was issued today (Mar 27), marking a significant resolution for the affected house purchasers who had long awaited the delivery of their properties.
Taman Fitriyyah, undertaken by Twin Revenue Sdn Bhd, is situated at Lot 1954, Block 17, Salak Land District, Kuching, and encompasses a total of 54 units comprising both single-storey and double-storey terrace houses.
The project was granted its Occupation Permit (OP) on March 18, following sustained inter-agency coordination, joint site inspections, and structured facilitation efforts spearheaded by MPHLG.
The second development, Botanic Garden 2, located in the Division of Betong and undertaken by Green Avenue Resources Sdn Bhd, consists of 54 units of single-storey terrace houses across two phases, with its delays having adversely impacted 12 house purchasers.
Phase 1 of the project was brought to successful completion and accorded its OP on February 5, following rigorous monitoring and sustained engagement by the ministry.
The ministry attributed the resolution of both projects to the concerted and coordinated efforts of all relevant stakeholders, including developers, local authorities, and technical agencies.
The mnistry further extended its formal appreciation to the affected purchasers for their commendable patience and cooperation throughout the protracted process.
The Sarawak Government reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights and interests of the public by ensuring the timely completion and delivery of all housing developments in the state.
