KUCHING: Kuching City FC now have two Haziqs in their ranks following the arrival of Johor Bahru-born goalkeeper, Haziq Aiman from Melaka.

The 1.92m-tall shot-stopper was welcomed by the club through its social media platforms, with Kuching City FC posting: “Welcome to Kuching City FC, Haziq Aiman @Panjang!”

Haziq Aiman featured for Melaka during the 2025-26 season after starting his career with Johor Darul Ta’zim III.

His arrival means he will now share the Kuching City squad with fellow player, Haziq Nadzli, giving the club two players with the same first name.

The new signing comes on the back of Kuching City’s impressive 6-0 victory over Kuala Lumpur City FC in their 2026-27 Super League encounter at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Cheras on Wednesday night (Aug. 26).

Kuching City took advantage of a weakened KL City side to secure the convincing win, continuing their campaign with a strong performance on the road.

Haziq Aiman’s addition also gives the club further depth in the goalkeeping department as the season progresses.
