KUCHING: Two local men were injured after a lorry they were in crashed into a tree at RH Park, Mile 9 here, late on Wednesday night.
The accident happened at around 10:55 pm and the victims, aged 21 and 26, fortunately were not trapped in the vehicle.
Firefighters from Kota Sentosa and Siburan stations were dispatched to the scene, about eight kilometres away, following a distress call.
Upon arrival, they assisted the injured victims out of the vehicle using stretchers.
Both were later transported to hospital for further treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 12:32 am.
