KUCHING: Two cycling clubs from Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, have confirmed their participation in the 7th Saribas International MTB Jamboree 2026, scheduled for July 26.
The event, organised by the Saribas Service Centre in collaboration with the Betong Division Cycling Association, will feature riders from CMCT and AACC alongside leading cycling clubs from across Sarawak.
Race chairman, Saiful Hanizam Suhaini, said both Indonesian clubs also competed in last year’s edition.
“The two clubs from our neighbouring country have already confirmed their participation.
“They also took part in last year’s edition, and we expect the competition to be even more intense this time,” Saiful told Sarawak Tribune.
A total of 12 categories will be contested, with RM28,000 in prize money up for grabs.
The categories are Men’s Open (18 years and above), Women’s Open (13 years and above), Master A (30–34 years), Master B (35–39 years), Veteran A (40–44 years), Veteran B (45–49 years), Senior A (50–54 years), Senior B (55–59 years), Otai Legend (60 years and above), Super XL BMI (33 years and above), Betong Closed (18 years and above) and Youth (13–17 years).
Registration fees range from RM90 to RM110, with entries closing on July 19.
“What makes this year’s race even more exciting is that participants will tackle a challenging 40-kilometre course.

Saiful described the race as a platform for cyclists to showcase their abilities while helping identify emerging talents for higher-level competition.
“We believe this race will provide valuable opportunities for new riders to gain experience in more challenging competitions,” he added.
