SIBURAN: A driver and his female passenger sustained injuries after their lorry crashed along Batu 26, Jalan Kuching-Serian yesterday (Oct 4).
The accident happened at around 6.20 pm when their lorry laden with groceries skidded and overturned to its side by the roadside.
Passers-by who witnessed the crash quickly came to the victims’ aid before firefighters from Siburan station arrived at the scene.
Upon arrival, the rescue team provided initial treatment to both victims before sending them to Serian Hospital for further medical attention.
The 52-year-old man sustained light injuries while the 20-year-old woman suffered injuries to her left arm.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 7.22 pm.
