Miri: Police arrested two local men in connection with a theft case in the Miri district.
The suspects were detained at about 2.20 pm during an operation at Kampung Lereng Bukit, Miri, led by Miri police station chief ASP Goldy Jangan and a team from the Miri Central Police Station’s Criminal Investigation Unit.
Police said several items believed to belong to the suspects, as well as property suspected to have been stolen, were seized during the operation.
Both men are being held at the Miri Central Police Station lock-up to assist investigations under Section 379 of the Penal Code, which relates to theft.
