Two mega projects to ensure better connectivity

MIRI: The federal government has approved two mega projects to be developed in the Northern Region of Sarawak that will connect Miri, Limbang and Lawas to Sabah under Phase 2 of the Sarawak-Sabah Link Road (SSLR) and Trans Borneo Highway project (LTB).

In announcing this on Sunday i at the launching of Pan Borneo highway’s Pujut Section, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said  this symbolises the government’s commitment to develop Sarawak’s road network.

“The construction of Phase 2 of the SSLR project and LTB will begin early next year and the completion will take about three to five years,” he said.

Also present were Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, Senior Minister of Works Dato’ Sri Fadillah Yusof and several State cabinet ministers.
