MIRI: Police have arrested two local men suspected of involvement in a bicycle theft case here during an early morning operation carried out today.
The suspects were detained at 12.25 am in Lutong during a targeted operation led by Miri Police Station chief ASP Goldy Jangan, assisted by a team from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Miri Central Police Station.
Police also seized several items believed to belong to the suspects, along with a bicycle reported to have been stolen.
Both men are currently being held at the Miri Central Police Station lock-up to facilitate further investigations. The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft.
