BAU: Two local men have been arrested by police for allegedly being involved in drug abuse activities.
Bau district police chief Supt Mohd Haide A. Rahman said ‘Ops Tapis’ operations were carried out in Kampung Tasik Biru and Kampung Seromah on March 28 from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
“A team from the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) conducted the operations in the villages to curb drug abuse and related criminal activities.
“During the operations, two local men aged 23 and 31 were arrested, believed to be involved in drug abuse activities,” he said in a statement.
Urine screening tests were conducted on both suspects, and the results came back positive for drugs.
Both suspects are currently being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Members of the public are urged to report any crimes or drug-related activities here, and the police will take appropriate action.
