PADAWAN: A pre-dawn drug bust in Matang Jaya ended with a man and a woman in police custody and a haul of dangerous substances worth nearly RM14,000.
Padawan police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said the raid was carried out by the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division (NCID) at around 3.10 am.
“During the raid, two individuals were found inside a car outside a shop.
“Inspections led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, ketamine, Erimin 5 and mixed Ecstasy powder – all of which are valued at RM13,789,” he said.
Both suspects, aged 28 and 34, together with the seized drugs were taken to the police station for further action.
Mohd Irwan said the case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
