KUALA LUMPUR: Festive “ONG” cheer turned into extraordinary fortune when a loyal Magnum 4D player won RM15,365,813 in a spontaneous Jackpot triumph on February 15.

The long-time player of more than 20 years had not intended to place a bet that day, stopping by Desa Aman Puri, Selayang, simply for a drink.

“Talk about luck meeting timing! This is the best Chinese New Year ang pow I’ve ever received,” he said, recalling the life-changing moment.

He bought a RM6 System Play ticket after noticing a parking space directly outside a Magnum outlet, choosing his favourite numbers, 9637 and 5722.

The winning news first came from a family member who saw the results and realised his usual numbers had secured second and third prizes.

However, the ticket was at home while he celebrated Chinese New Year in his hometown, leaving him anxious and unable to verify immediately.

He travelled back to scan the ticket personally, and disbelief quickly gave way to excitement upon confirming the RM15,365,813 Jackpot 1 win.

Weeks earlier, another major victory unfolded on January 7 at Sri Rampai, Setapak, where a 65-year-old retiree secured RM21,883,063 in Jackpot 1.

The retiree used a permutation play with numbers 7003 and 9200, participating selectively whenever the jackpot prize exceeded RM20 million.

“Over RM37 million in 4D Jackpot 1 wins have already been handed out this year, marking a fantastic start to 2026,” said a Magnum spokesperson.

“These wins reflect the festive ‘ONG’ spirit and remind everyone that exciting moments can happen anytime for our dedicated players nationwide,” the spokesperson added.

Beyond celebrating winners, the company continues community outreach through MagnumCares and its Welfare Homes Outreach Programme, now in its 42nd year.

“This year, we reached-out to over 204 welfare homes, supporting 12,700 individuals with donations and festive treats worth RM606,000,” the spokesperson said.
