SELANGAU: Two projects under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for the Tamin constituency have been completed and officially handed over to the local community recently.

The completed projects are the Farm Road (Jalan Kebun Kelompok) Upgrading Project, Skim Sekuau, and the Jalan Rumah Janting Upgrading Project, Skim Sekuau, both aimed at enhancing accessibility, safety and comfort for residents while supporting local economic activities.
The upgrading of farm roads, particularly oil palm access routes, is expected to facilitate the movement of machinery and improve the transportation of agricultural produce, contributing to higher productivity and increased income among smallholders in the area.
Beyond economic benefits, the projects also improve daily connectivity for residents and strengthen links between surrounding communities while supporting agricultural activities and essential travel needs.
Tamin state assemblyman, Christopher Gira Sambang, said the allocation for farm road construction reflects efforts to boost oil palm cultivation and uplift the income of local participants.
He noted that RTP initiatives not only focus on physical infrastructure improvements but also aim to enhance long-term well-being and quality of life for rural communities.
