BARAM: Two security personnel forces who went missing after they were swept away by a waterhead in Camp Layun, Long Lama Baram on Thursday night were found dead this evening.
According to Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail, the bodies were kept at Long Lama clinic where they will be transported to Miri Hospital by the Miri General Operations Force (PGA).
“The bodies were found at 3pm,” he said.
The mishap occurred around 8pm on Thursday when the duo, together with six other personnel, were resting near the riverbank before being swept away by the current.
The remaining members of the team immediately carried out a search operation for the two.
