MUKAH: Two people were seriously injured following a two-vehicle collision at Kampung Teh, Dalat, on Saturday evening.
The accident involved two compact sedan-type vehicles.
An emergency call was received at 7:25 pm, prompting the deployment of a team from the Mukah Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the two individuals, a man and a woman, had already been rescued by members of the public before firefighters arrived.
They were later taken to the Dalat Hospital by a Civil Defence Force (APM) ambulance for further treatment.
Firefighters also carried out flushing and cleanup work at the scene before the operation ended at 8:22 pm.
