KUCHING: A routine afternoon today at Demak Industrial Park was disrupted when a Perodua Axia skidded and overturned in a self-involved accident along Jalan Bako, leaving two people with minor injuries.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received an emergency call at about 2.31 pm and arrived at the scene shortly after.
Upon arrival, the vehicle was found overturned at the roadside, while the occupants had already been assisted out by members of the public.
Both individuals were reported to be conscious and complained of chest discomfort, although no external injuries were observed.
Firefighters carried out safety checks at the scene and monitored the condition of the victims before handing them over to the Health Ministry (KKM) ambulance team for further treatment.
No rescue operation was required as the extrication had been completed prior to the arrival of the fire and rescue team.
The operation concluded once the scene was confirmed safe and under control.
