KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar accompanied by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg performed the Solat Sunat Aidilfitri at Masjid Jamek in Petra Jaya on the first day of Hari Raya, today (Apr 10).
They arrived at the mosque at 7.52am and the prayer was led by State Grand Imam Sahibul Fadhilah Dato Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.
The Aidilfitri prayer was also attended by more than 5,000 Muslims.
Also present were State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar, Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and other distinguished guests.
