KOTA SAMARAHAN: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi joined members of the Army Eastern Field Command (PMTTD) for a breaking-of-fast ceremony at Wisma Perwira Sri Kenyalang, Muara Tuang Camp here on Wednesday (Mar 4).

Wan Junaidi and Fauziah arrived with their daughter Sharifah Fariah and were received by the Commander of the 1st Division Major General Datuk Khairul Anuar Abd Aziz, and his wife Datin Roslina Abu Bakar.

The programme began with the breaking of fast followed by Maghrib prayers led by Colonel Zulkifli Mustafa at Surau Khalid Al-Walid before Wan Junaidi and his wife attended a dinner at the Banquet Hall of Wisma Perwira Sri Kenyalang.

During the ceremony, the Head of State and his wife also presented contributions to six new Muslim converts comprising military personnel and family members of the armed forces community.

Wan Junaidi thanked the Malaysian Armed Forces, particularly PMTTD personnel, for organising the event, describing it as a meaningful platform to strengthen ties between the state leadership and security forces while fostering unity and goodwill in Sarawak.
