KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar graced a breaking-of-fast ceremony with more than 200 police personnel, underscoring solidarity and appreciation for the security forces during the holy month of Ramadan.
Wan Junaidi, accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, attended the event organised by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Sarawak Contingent at Masjid Al-Mujahidin, Tabuan Jaya Police housing complex, on Tuesday (Mar 3).
His presence added significance to the gathering, which brought together members of the force and invited guests in a warm and harmonious atmosphere that reflected unity and camaraderie among security personnel.
Also present was Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah and senior leadership of the PDRM Sarawak Contingent.

In a gesture of compassion, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah presented cash contributions to 15 children of PDRM personnel, comprising orphans and persons with disabilities (OKU), highlighting concern for the welfare of families of uniformed officers.
The ceremony began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Nordin Putit, champion Qari of the Kuching District Quran Recitation (Tilawah) Competition 2024, before attendees broke their fast and performed the Maghrib prayer in congregation.
