BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi attended the Investiture Ceremony of State Honours and Decorations of Brunei Darussalam held in conjunction with the 79th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The royal ceremony, steeped in tradition and regal customs, took place at 10.30 am at Istana Nurul Iman here.
Also in attendance were Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha; Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg; Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and his wife, Datin Dayang Morliah Datuk Awang Daud; as well as Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Coordinator of Regional Development Agencies, DBKU and Islamic Affairs), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah extended their deepest appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei for the royal invitation and gracious hospitality.
They also expressed their hopes that the warm diplomatic and friendly relations between the two nations will continue to flourish, bringing sustained prosperity and mutual benefit to both.
