LONDON: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi are on holidays, their first since Wan Junaidi assumed office earlier this year.
They spent five days in London until Monday before heading for Morocco.
Upon arriving at Heathrow last Friday, he and his family stopped by at Med Salleh Restaurant, a well-known Malaysian cuisine restaurant.
The next day, they visited Battersea Power Station (BPS), reputed to be one of the most interesting shopping and vacation destinations in London.
BPS is one of the real estate projects developed by Malaysia through the investments of Sime Darby Property Bhd, S P Setia Bhd, the Employees Provident Fund (KWSP), and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB).
Additionally, Wan Junaidi took the opportunity to spend time with his in-laws who are citizens of the UK.
Wan Junaidi and his wife also met with Mohiuddin Ghazali, Deputy High Commissioner of Malaysia to the United Kingdom, and his wife, along with Police Liaison Officer from the High Commission ACP Mohamed Alex Imran Abdullah and his wife for dinner at Thai Spice Restaurant.
Wan Junaidi and his family will explore Morocco next over five days and four nights in the cities of Marrakech, Fez, and Casablanca.
