KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar paid his last respects to his fellow comrade in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the late Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rtd) Joneh Bidon, in Batu Kawa, here today (Jan 31).
Accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, he extended his condolences to the late officer’s widow, Evelyn Kimson, 76, and their five children.
The late Joneh, who passed away at the age of 77, was a dedicated police officer who served with distinction, and his close friendship with Wan Junaidi was forged during their time together in PDRM.
During the visit, Wan Junaidi spent time with the family, reminiscing about the late officer’s contributions and sacrifices throughout his service in the security forces.
He also expressed appreciation for the late officer’s dedication and commitment to maintaining national security and hoped that his legacy would continue to be remembered by future generations.
