KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar was briefed on the various development projects in the Sadong Jaya area.

The briefing took place yesterday (May 28) at the official residence of the Governor at Kasuma Resort, Petra Jaya.

Leading the delegation was Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki. Also present was Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Datuk Aidel Lariwoo.

The discussion, which lasted one hour, covered, among other things, the proposed development of the Sadong Jaya Heritage Gallery, as well as the implementation of projects such as a waterfront, an Iconic Tower, a community bazaar, a mosque, a cemetery, and other initiatives with the potential to act as catalysts for comprehensive development in the area.

Later, Wan Junaidi expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Sarawak government for its commitment and initiatives through the proposed projects, which he believes will have a significant and meaningful impact on the well-being of the residents in Sadong Jaya.

He also hoped that all planned projects will proceed smoothly and successfully through close cooperation among the departments and agencies involved in upgrading facilities and adding value to the holistic development of the area.
