KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud yesterday received a courtesy call by National Sufi Seminar 2018 Organising Committee at Demak Jaya.
Led by Utilities (Rural Electricity) Assistant Minister Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, the call was aimed at inviting Tun Taib to officiate at the opening of the National Sufi Seminar 2018 that will be held in Sibu on this coming 8 March.
Department of Islamic Development Malaysia Sarawak has been chosen to host the seminar for this year that is expecting to gather as many as 1000 participants nationwide. Also present during the call were President of Sarawak Islamic Council Datu Misnu Taha, JAKIM Director-General Tan Sri Dato’ Othman Mustapha Sarawak State Mufti Datu Kipli Yassin .
