KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi received a courtesy visit from a delegation of Harakah Islamiah (HIKMAH) at Astana Negeri Sarawak today.

The delegation was led by president Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abdul Aziz Husain along with the organisation’s leadership.

The team introduced HIKMAH’s new leadership lineup and discussed the organisation’s role and initiatives in strengthening Islamic teachings in Sarawak.

Additionally, Wan Junaidi and the delegation exchanged views on empowering Islamic institutions, expanding outreach programmes, and enhancing strategic collaborations to ensure a sustainable and inclusive development of the Muslim community in the state.

Wan Junaidi expressed his appreciation for the relentless efforts made by HIKMAH in advocating for the welfare of the Muslim community in Sarawak, particularly in education, welfare, and social development.

He also hoped that HIKMAH will continue to grow and play a greater role in uniting and empowering the Muslim community in the state.

Also present at the meeting were deputy president of HIKMAH Datuk Abang Mohd Shibli Abang Mohd Naiee, vice president Toh Puan Hajah Hayati Ahmat, vice president Temenggong Datuk Seri Wan Hamid Edruce Tuanku Mohammad, and other committee members, including Raihan Yusop, Sulaiman Mahili, Jemain Kassim, Dr Syed Abdul Aziz Temenggong Datuk Seri Wan Hamid Edruce, and Alwi Morshidi.
