KUALA LUMPUR: Head of State (TYT) Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi received a courtesy visit from long-time acquaintance, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) pro-chancellor and chairman of the Board of Directors, Datuk Mohamed Nizam Abdul Razak on Monday (Aug 18).

The meeting was also attended by UNIRAZAK chief executive officer Amil Izham Hamzah, chief operating officer Mohamed Fairuz Mohamed Noor, vice-chancellor Datin Paduka Prof Dr Samsinar Md Sidin, registrar Aini Juhaida Abu Samah, and senior executive of UNIRAZAK Career Centre, Muhammad Mukmin Said.

Wan Junaidi and Mohamed Nizam first established ties during his tenure as Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives from 2020 to 2021.

During the session, Wan Junaidi shared his experiences serving in various federal portfolios, including his involvement in constitutional matters and direct participation in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

He also stressed the importance of local academics and historians in producing more works on Malaysia’s and Sarawak’s history, rather than relying solely on foreign scholarship.

He expressed appreciation for the visit and hoped UNIRAZAK would continue to nurture quality human capital while strengthening research and academic publications that contribute to national development and public well-being.
