KUCHING: Head of State TunPehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud yesterday received two courtesy calls at his official residence in Demak Jaya, here.

The first courtesy call was from Malaysian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Md. Shahidul Islam.

Shahidul was accompanied by Diplomat Md. RaisHasan Sarower, Labour Counsellor Md Sayedul Islam and First Secretary (Commercial Sector) Md. Rajibul Ahsan.

Tun Taib later received Denmark Ambassador to Malaysia Jesper Vahr. This was his first courtesy call to Tun Taib since his appointment as his country’s Ambassador to Malaysia in November last year.

Also present during the call were Director of Sarawak Region in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deddy Faisal and Denmark’s Honorary Counsul Aw Tai Tui.
