BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, were granted a royal audience this afternoon by His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha.
The meeting was conducted in a warm and respectful atmosphere, during which both parties exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, particularly the long-standing relationship between Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam.
Also present during the audience were Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg; Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Coordinator for Regional Development Agencies, DBKU and Islamic Affairs) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah extended their highest appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty the Sultan and Her Majesty Raja Isteri for the gracious audience.
They also conveyed their hopes that the close bonds of friendship and bilateral cooperation between Malaysia, especially Sarawak, and Brunei Darussalam will continue to flourish for the shared benefit of both nations.
