KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi mingled with more than 10,000 guests at a Hari Raya Aidifotri gathering at the CIDB Convention Centre Sarawak here on Sunday (Mar 22).
The couple arrived at about 2.20pm and were received by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof.
The event, organised by the Petra Jaya Parliamentary Penghulu and Community Leaders Association, began at 10am, drawing a large crowd from all walks of life.
The event reflected the strong spirit of unity and the vibrancy of the Raya celebration in the state.
Besides enjoying the refreshments, Wan Junaidi and his wife also viewed a special album showcasing Fadillah’s service at the federal, state and parliamentary levels.
Their presence underscored the close relationship between the state leadership and the people in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
