KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi attended an Iftar event with heads of departments and agencies at the Dewan Santapan, Surau Astana Sarawak, here on Wednesday (Mar 18).
They were welcomed by State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohammad Abu Bakar Marzuki and his wife Datuk Baduyah Bujang.
Also in attendance were Sarawak Attorney General Datuk Sri Saferi Ali, Deputy State Secretary (Operation) Datuk Hii Chang Kee, Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datuk Felicia Tan Ya Hua, and other departmental heads.
The event began with a breaking-of-fast session with the guests, followed by a congregational Maghrib prayer led by the Grand Imam of Sarawak Datuk Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi.
Wan Junaidi and his wife then enjoyed the Iftar meal with the guests.
Following the meal, Wan Junaidi led the Isyak and Tarawih prayers in congregation. The event concluded with a moreh feast shared with the guests before the Governor and his wife left.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah expressed their gratitude to the heads of departments, representatives from government agencies, associations, and media personnel who attended the event.
