KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, paid their respects to the family of Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian following the passing of his mother, the late Puan Sri Datin Amar Lim Su Kheng.
Their visit took place at Dr Sim’s residence in Kenyalang Park at 11.15 am today, shortly after the Head of State received a courtesy call from the Premier at the Astana Negeri Sarawak.
Upon their arrival, Wan Junaidi and Fauziah were received by Dr Sim, his wife Datuk Enn Ong Siok Ean, his sister Sim Kui Lian, and his children, Eason and Simson, along with close family members.
During the visit, they conveyed their heartfelt condolences and offered words of comfort to the grieving family.
They also prayed for strength, resilience and peace for Dr Sim and his family during this difficult time.
Earlier, in a statement, Wan Junaidi paid tribute to the late Lim, describing her as a prominent woman who had served in the Sarawak Badan Amal Tenaga Isteri-Isteri (SABATI), Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) and various non-governmental organisations.
“She is remembered as a dedicated woman who understood the sacrifices and commitment of those serving the community,” he said.
Lim, the wife of the late and former Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Sim Kheng Hong, passed away yesterday (Nov 17), at the age of 83.
